IND have introduced New Application Forms

30 August 2005: Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND) have introduced New Application Forms. These forms are now available on the Applications Forms page. Anyone applying for an extension of stay or indefinite leave to remain, or requesting the transfer of leave fixed to a passport or travel document, is required to complete an application form and pay the prescribed fee.
Leave to Remain Applications - Work Permit/HSMP Reviews

Occasionally customers may be required to submit a leave to remain (LtR) application before the outcome of the work permit (WP) or Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) application. In these circumstances we will hold the LtR application until the WP/HSMP application has been decided.

England's population has risen above 50 million for the first time and that of the United Kingdom probably passed 60 million this summer, new figures showed yesterday. Highly Skilled Migrant Programme - New Reviews Request Form

A new Reviews Request Form is now available for use by individuals who are seeking a review of an HSMP application refusal.
Individuals seeking a review of their application should complete this Reviews Request Form and submit to the HSMP team, within 28 days of the original decision.
Introduction of the Life in the United Kingdom Requirements for British Citizenship

With effect from 1st November 2005, all new applicants for naturalisation will have to demonstrate both knowledge of English language and of life in the UK. Applications received prior to that date will not be affected by this change.
