Hello everyone,
My wife has been approved for her green card overseas. It's conditional and she hasn't travelled yet. I discovered my loved one has turned on me and isn't the woman i married. It ended almost overnight
she turned her back on me. I'm shocked to say the least.
Until the hurt settles in i want to know what my options are to cancel her visa. Like i said it's approved CR but she hasn't travelled on it yet. I hate to be stuck paying her way for the next 8-10 years.
Thanks everyone,
Greg.

You can divorce her now, immediately, can't you?

Yes, there are limitations to the I-864 but there are also ramifications
that should be considered.
The OP cannot cancel the CR-1 simply because of his thought that this
marriage was one of convenience for the lady in question (or is that
questionable lady?) to obtain residency in the US. He would need cold,
hard facts to succeed and then he needs to have CIS listen to him.
If she does enter the US and takes up legal residency then he is on the
hook, even if divorced, for reimbursement to the US Government of any
means tested benefits she applies for and receives, i.e. medical care,
welfare, etc. He should also be leery that she might know that his
promise to provide for her at 125% of the US poverty guidelines could
mean that she is entitled to support in that amount if they divorce.

I'm not an attorney. This disclaimer is valid in NYS!

What promise?
Never seen that suggested before.
The 125% is for a Family, not per person anyway. Could be divided by 2,
or 20 depending on the number of suportees.

It has been suggested that you still have the option of withdrawing the
petition I-130 at this point in time. It must be done before she enters
at the POE.
If you want to follow up on this, get with an attorney asap. You'd want
some muscle behind you, I imagine.
