I live in Denver and need to get my British passport renewed. I was
born in Northern Ireland so have dual nationality - Irish and British.
Does anyone have information on who to contact in the USA to get my
British passport renewed? (West Coast or East Coast?)
Thanks
Mick

Mick
Contact your local British Consulate or Embassy.
They will give you an application form.
Which you send to Washington.
This in turn is transfered to the UK
So takes a couple of months.

No. It isn't transferred to the UK. And it doesn't doesn't take a couple of
months.
The British Embassy in Washington have been issuing passports for many many
years, along with probably about 100 other British passport-issuing offices
outside UK. Should take a couple of weeks.
And while Consulates generally do have application forms for walk-in
customers it is simpler to download and print the form from the link
provided further up this thread.

PS I've just seen on another post that your father is applying for a new
passport, mick2me. His passport *will* be printed in UK, as there are
special arrangements for gratis passports issued to those born before 2
September 1929. But these passports for what the UK Passport Service call
"The Waritme Generation" are the only ones which need to be sent to UK for
issue. All others are issued locally.

Thank you for Clarifying that Paul.
This is what I was told by the local Embassy, which I now know as a result of your post, was based on my fathers age.
I did see somewhere that you could not download passport applications,
due to the high quality of printing that was required. Would you kindly post the link again as I can't see a link in this thread.
I did not yet get any replies in my thread, and do not wish to hijack the other Micks thread.
Mine can be found here
Father returning to UK from US after 50 years! (http://www.mymigration.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4790)
And I would be grateful to any advice on his entitlement to reside in the UK after all these years
Thanks again
