Hi,

I have been working with a company in UK (in midlands) as IT
Team/Project Leader since Jan 2003 (on WP) and hopefully should get PR
in Jan 2007. But i was thinking of moving job as I am tired of doing
same stuff here in my company all the time.
I know that it is relatively easy for another company to transfer
existing work permits, but would like to know whether IT companies
these days are willing to do so or not. I mean what is the current job
market out there in London and in and around M25. Do companies
entertain such applications where they require to transfer the WP or
they just dump such CVs/applications?

Thanx & Warm Regards

I haven't got any particular knowledge of the job market, but have you
thought of switching to the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme? Might be worth
exploring because it takes the burden of the WP paperwork away from the
employer. If I were an employer and had two candidates with similar skills,
I think I'd take the one that wasn't going to cause me a lot of work....

Just a thought...

Doesn't the four-year period required for ULR start again from zero if
you change employers during that time? If not, wasn't that formerly the
case?
